What Good Am I Now? (More than I Could Imagine)
Have you ever felt that you are no longer valuable to God because your ministry or talent is diminishing due to health or physical problems or is that just me? Over the last few weeks, I've noticed that it has been getter harder to read my music sheets and the lyrics on the screen. For years, I've tried to use my music as a means of worship and ministry for God.
Just when I believe I can handle whatever is coming next with the loss of my vision, I become disheartened and frustrated. The Evil One takes those moments in our lives and crushes us with them. Without GOD's love and support, we may feel that there is nothing valuable in us to give HIM. Have you ever heard the phrase "When one door closes, another will open"? GOD is never through with us until HE calls us home.
As I was driving to see my granddaughter, a song by Jason Crabb came on Pandora, "God Can Use a Broken Man." Whether we are broken due to physical or health problems or broken by the sin in our lives, GOD can still use us.
"Bring all your burdens, Your troubles and your worries, Come to the cross and lay it down, Bring all your mistakes, Your sorrows and your heartaches, Come to the cross and be found, Oh, God can use a broken man, He can take all of our failures, Make us whole again, I'm living proof, yes I am."
I will keep on keeping on until the FATHER opens a new door. Meanwhile, I'm dancing in the hallway.
When you are feeling down, know that GOD is near: "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
When you feel that you have nothing of value for GOD, let HIM cleanse you of those thoughts: "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me." Psalm 51:10
Know this: You are valuable to GOD. You are worthy of HIS love and grace. Let GOD take your brokenness and make you whole again.
Thanks for reading,
PB
